We went to St. Augustine last night with Terri, Kevin, Karen & Bob to see the Bilge Rats....but they were on vacation...damn. They are awesome. Here's their website: www.bilgerats.net. We ate at Harry's Restaurant, shopped then had Bloody Mary's at Scarlett O'Haras.

Hurricane Rita is a Cat 5 heading for Texas. I feel bad for them. We had Cat 1 and 2's last year and our community is still licking it's wounds. The Atlantic Ocean is a little churned up but not bad. I'm adding some photos from my beach walk today.

Wow, I've been so busy lately, I haven't had time to post anything. I've been off work for 9 days. I'm sitting here dreading to go back to work today.

I went to Atlanta last week and had a great time. I took my nieces and nephew (Katherine, Rachel and David) to the Fox Theater to see Phantom of the Opera. I love that show. David wasn't too impressed though.

The next day we went car shopping and Mom and Dad got a 2006 Silver Toyota Camry. It's an awesome car. The next day JoAnn and I had some sister time and went shopping (with a detour to Dairy Queen, of course).

Once I got back to Florida, the yard work began. I trimmed, weeded, cut, reshaped, planted and mulched. Wheew, for such a tiny yard, there's a lot of work to do. Here are some pictures of the results:

The tree above was a giant boxwood bush that we hated and were going to cut down so I decided I would practice on it. I just got a little pruning saw at Lowe's so I still need to cut some more of the limbs off. Boy, was that ever a job! But I'm pretty happy with the results. It went from a big blob of a bush to a little specimen tree.

Anyone who has been to our house know of our fondness for gargoyles. I found this little fella to watch out in the garden for us.

I took a break on Thursday and went to lunch with Betty and Jane. We went to the Golden Lion in Flagler Beach. Well, lunch ran into dinner time! We got home at 5pm. We had a great time.

Friday, I decided to paint the front door. You know you've chosen the wrong color when your neighbor gets you color samples from Lowes after your door is painted. Here it is, it won't last long because I'll be painting it another color next week when I'm off work again.

Well, I've gotta run for now. I have to drag myself back to work...UGH!
